As an owner of a Bernese Mountain Dog even though he is so large, he is gentle with any kid. Especially he plays a lot with my 3 years old nephew, they are best buddies. And I can leave them alone and grab a coffee at any point without being suspicious.

But every second that you will dedicate to training your Bernese Mountain Dog will be worth it. They are a lovely breed and deserve every moment of your training to improve their character and behavior.
