My Bernese Mountain Dog is showing up first at the doorbell, making sure that there is no risk for me to open the door to a stranger, I own my Berner for 5 years, and I’m so proud and I feel secure around him, even I can go for a walk during a night and I know I can rely on my Berner as a Guard.
2.Intelligent
Bernese Mountain Dog is one of the most intelligent breeds. Their country of origin is Switzerland, they are a herding dogs and they are can be easily trained. They can easily understand your instructions or training with around 5 time repeating the same action so they can learn the instructions.
Berner is a large breed, and they do best with experienced canine leaders. Bernese Mountain Dogs are working dogs they love having a job to do, so if you have a small farm or a large yard with children running around, they will find themselves very comfortable watching over everyone.
One of the reasons that the breed requires an experienced handler is that they are very willing to please, but have a softer personality, so their families could be easily her when they step over the boundary they didn’t know was there.
They also have a longer puppyhood than many other breeds which makes them, of course, adorable, but their large size means that they need to calm consistent leader early on so that they are easier to manage when they are larger but still have that puppy playfulness
